In 2022, the Norwegian Institute in Rome (DNIR) proudly introduced a new lecture series, the P. A. Munch Annual Lecture, in commemoration of the Norwegian historian Peter Andreas Munch (1810—1863), a prominent and highly productive scholar who spent his last years working in Roman archives.
