The series of Advanced Research Courses offered by the Norwegian Research School in History will delve into a specialized topic and focus on historiography and research methods. This particular course, organized by the University of Tromsø – The Arctic University of Norway, will focus on how changes in perspectives and methods in indigenous and minority history may help construct knowledge that otherwise is missing from standard narratives.

Welcome to Kick-off seminar 17 September 2020!
This years kick-off will focus on time and how it is to write a PhD dissertation in the times of Covid-19. If things doesn't get worse, we plan to meet physically in PAM 454.
IFIKK is organizing a PhD course on "Automaticity and Control: Philosophical and Empirical Perspectives". The course will take place every Monday from 15 to 17 (CEST), from the 14th of September to the 19th of October. All the classes will be on Zoom. The course will be taught by Prof. Wayne Wu (Carnegie Mellon University).
The primary audience for this course are PhD students in philosophy. PhD students from neighbouring disciplines are welcome after approval by the instructor. PhD students from other universities are invited to attend this course (though be aware that space is limited; see below). It will be possible to obtain 5 ECTS credits by attending the seminars and fulfilling the prescribed activities.

MultiLing's Summer School 2020 will take place from 7 to 11 September, 2020. This year, the topic is issues in second language learning and interaction. It will address how language learning is accomplished in conversational interaction and how the development of linguistic and interactional competence may be traced in actual conversational behavior over time.
