In this session, we offer practical tips about how to communicate your research to a non-specialist audience in a concise and comprehensible way. We will look, first, at how you can summarize your research in written form, so that it makes sense to people outside your specialty. Then, we will deal with how you can rewrite this text for oral presentation, and also look at other factors to keep in mind when presenting your project to a general public. Finally, you will rehearse giving short oral presentations of your projects.

Kristian Bjørkdahl is an Associate Professor in Rhetoric, Language and Communication. He is an active communicator and has published and presented widely on research communication, for example in his latest book and through the project Research communication as a profession
