Abstract
In this talk, I compare normative uncertainty in normative ethics with model risks in science. Model risks and normative uncertainty are often treated differently in decision theory. I claim that the rational responses to empirical and moral uncertainty can differ. I also claim that the rational response to normative uncertainty and to model risks should be the same. Finally, I show how it can help us make some progress on the problem of inter-theoretical comparisons among values.
