The path to your personal storage space will be provided to you by e-mail at the start of the semester.
Off-site login onto view.uio.no is done through the app VMware Horizon Client, which must be downloaded onto your personal computer. Here is how to do that:
Step 1:
Install VMware Horizon Client by following this guide on UiOs website.
Step 2:
Open "UiO Windows Desktop to connect to the on-site computer.
Step 3:
The storage space can be connected the first time by creating a shortcut. The easiest method is to right-click (Command + click on Mac) on the desktop.
a) Choose "New --> Shortcut" from the menu.
b) Paste or write out the pathway to your personal storage space. This will be provided to you by e-mail at the start of the semester.
c) Choose "Next" and provide a name for the shortcut. Select "Finish".
The pathway is now available on your desktop under the name you have provided.
