Welcome screen
This is the welcome screen shown when you first touch the control panel.
The empty screen
After the welcome screen you will get sent to the following screen. This means that the AV equipment in the room is turned on.
You can switch languages by touching the flag icons.
Starting the projector
To start the projector, you must press the Projector button (second button on the bottom of the screen). You will then see a screen similar to this:
On the Projector screen that's now open you also select the input source, which is the type of device/connection you wish to display the video signal from. On the right side of the screen you have up, down and stop buttons for controlling the canvas.
Next you will see a countdown while the projector is starting up:
When the countdown has finished, the screen will look like this:
The active input source is highlighted in bright blue. There's also a button marked Mute which sends a completely black video signal to the projector, should you need to temporarily disable the projected image.
Drapes/board
The room's drapes can be opened or closed with the buttons on the left-hand side of this screen. The (black)board can be raised or lowered by holding down the arrow keys on the right.
Lighting
You can adjust lighting with the control panel on the Lights screen:
The lighting has 5 fixed levels, and can be gradually adjusted by holding down the arrow buttons.
Audio
The audio control panel is in the front of the lectern. It can be used independently of the projector and screen. The B&W equipment is connected as "speaker B", and is recommended for use when teaching. The active speakers can be toggled by pressing the button between the two volume controllers.
To play audio from the Mac, choose the "Unbalanced" input. The "Balanced" input will enable the mini jack cable on the lectern. The left volume knob adjusts the speaker volume, the right volume knob adjusts the headphone jack's volume and should not be used.
Help
If you require assistance with the equipment, the last button on the panel takes you to a screen with contact information:
System off
When your lecture is over, please don't forget to power down the equipment before leaving the room:
This is important, especially for these two reasons:
- All settings are reset to their defaults, which avoids causing trouble for the next person utilizing the room
- The projector and other equipment will last longer
