Viking, Merovingian Age and Migration Period Scandinavia. Power Structures and Material Culture.
- My PhD project consists of three individual research papers. One is an anarchist perspective on mound construction, centralization and resistance in Late Iron Age Sør-Fron, Østlandet, Norway. The other two examine performative aspects of mound construction in Merovingian Age Østlandet, Norway. All three papers seek to reappraise traditional conceptions of Iron Age social organization by taking a bottom-up-approach to public action in Late Iron Age Scandinavia.
