Academic interests

His research focuses on the circulation of knowledge and printing privileges in the early modern Spanish Empire, including topics such as the book trade, censorship and legislation.

Background

Alberto José Campillo Pardo (Ph.D. Universidad de Sevilla, 2021) is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Archaeology, Conservation and History (IAKH), ​​where he is part of the ERC-funded project Before Copyright. Previously he has held the Margarita Salas Postdoctoral Fellow, funded by the EU's "Next Generation" programme, at the Universidad de Sevilla and the Universidad Pablo de Olavide, both in Spain (2022-2024).
