Academic interests

My research has examined the spread and impact of the Nordic model in American and global contexts in the 20th century. Currently, I am leading a project on American-Scandianvian labor networks in the Cold War. Amongst my research interests are histories of labor movements, policy transfer, Nordic cooperation, and the United States.

Background

Born in the United States in 1988. Graduated with bachelor degrees in English Literature and History from the University of Maryland (2010). Graduated with a masters degree in International and Global History from Aarhus University (2015). Awarded Ph.D. in History in 2018 from Aarhus University. Have worked as postdoctoral researcher on the project "Nordic model(s) in the global circulation of ideas, 1970-2020," funded by the Independent Resarch Council of Denmark, at Aarhus University and as University Lecturer in Nordic Studies at the University of Helsinki.
