PhD project: The Oil Fund and Norway's international profile

The Norwegian Oil Fund transforms oil revenues into renewable financial resources with the overarching goal of securing financial wealth for future generations. It does this by investing in global markets, which has created a need to establish guidelines for investments that the Norwegian population can support.

This dissertation explores the connection between Norway's international profile and the development of responsible management practices, formerly known as ethical investment. The research question investigates the interpretations and interactions that shaped the strategy for responsible management activities in the period 1997-2017. It also examines the development of ethical considerations and their alignment with political interests.
