About Dave Killick
Dave Killick is professor of Anthropology at the School of Anthropology, The University of Arizona.
His earlier research was mostly in archaeometallurgy in Africa, but since 2009 has been mostly on the provenance of archaeological materials worldwide. He is an expert in optical petrography for studies of the provenance of low-fired pottery in Botswana, New Caledonia and the southwestern USA. In collaboration with other researchers, he also uses lead and strontium isotopes for provenance of non-ferrous metals, turquioise, and lead glazes in southwestern USA and in Africa.
