The Victory of Peace?

On the 10th of April 1998, The United Kingdom, Ireland and political parties in Northern Ireland signed the Good Friday Agreement/Belfast Agreement. This was seen as an important step to end the decades-long conflict, known as “the Troubles,” which had caused great suffering in the region. Was the agreement successful and what effects did it have on the peace process in Northern Ireland?
