I am a Doctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Philosophy, Classics, History of Art and Ideas, working under the supervision of Sebastian Watzl (UiO). My position is part of his ERC-funded research project GOODATTENTION.
Academic interests
My research interests lie primarily at the intersection of Philosophy of Mind, Ethics, Philosophy of Language, and Metaphysics. In my Ph.D. project, I seek to explore the conceptual and normative interrelations between freedom and attention as well as the mutual interdependence between norms of attention and norms of communication.
Background
I have completed my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Philosophy at the University of Mumbai.
Post that, I was awarded a research fellowship by the University Grants Commission (India). As part of it, I wrote a dissertation titled the Ontology of Names in Kripke's Possible Worlds Semantics, under Dr. Geeta Ramana, leading to an M.Phil. degree in Philosophy from the Department of Philosophy, University of Mumbai.
I have also been a Lecturer for Undergraduate courses in Philosophy at SIES College, Visiting Faculty for Postgraduate courses at Department of Philosophy, University of Mumbai and Academic Fellow for the 'Ethics of Artificial Intelligence' course at the Indian Institute of Information Technology.
