Academic interests
I have worked extensively with process philosophies and their applications. I enjoy exploring the underlying ontological models and explanatory modes of scientific discourses. In particular, the theoretical and philosophical foundations of complex systems have grabbed my interest, where I have given a special focus to issues in biology and cognitive science
As part of the project ‘AssemblingLife’ my goal is to help clarify the concept of self-assembly and bring it into contact with existing philosophical literature on the complexity of living systems. I will explore which features explain the differences and similarities between various cases of self-assembly and how self-assembly relates to the more well-understood phenomenon of self-organization.
Background
I hold a Master in Philosophy from Aarhus University, where I wrote my thesis on 'Continuity in Cognitive Science' under the supervision of Professor Johanna Seibt.
