GOODATTENTION was represented by Sebastian Watzl at the Workshop "Attention: An Interdisciplinary Workshop" hosted by the Department of Anthropology at the London School of Economics. The workshop took place on the 14th-15th of September.

The workshop looked at attention from the angle of a variety of many disciplines, looking at theoretical, political and methological issues regarding the study of attention and its significance in society.

Sebastian Watzl gave a talk (on zoom) on "What attention is and why it matters".

It was great to see attention studied from so many angles, and especially to see new methodologies emerge to study attention "in the wild", using methods from Anthropology, Sociology, Economics and more. The normative issues at the heart of GoodAttention were often informing the discussion as well as the topic of how to study attention in its social context.

We are excited to explore how to learn from those other disciplines and look forward to more such interactions in the future!
