This work package collaborates across all the disciplines represented in this project. It reflects upon the multidisciplinary research process and enables the sharing for research results among all project members, guest researchers, artists in residence, Advisory Board members and involved institutions.

Aim

This work packages aims to coordinate and facilitate the development of methodologies, epistemologies and theories that bridge humanities, social sciences, arts, and life sciences to better understand human-soil relations. The WP integrates the project into ongoing activities at the Oslo School of Environmental Humanities (OSEH) and connects it to participating institutions and research groups at UiO and beyond.

Questions

How can we create spaces of interdisciplinary knowledge exchange about human-soil relationships within academia and in the public sphere?

Methods

This work package will organize regular meetings, workshops and excursions (place-based workshops) centered on the question of how to study soil as a multidisciplinary object. It will coordinate collaboration across fields and disciplines, and facilitate the development of joint research methodologies, joint publications, and general intellectual exchange between the project members.
