At ILN, students and academic staff can apply for economical funding for student activities.
Who can apply?
- Teaching assistants at ILN
- Students in one year units, bachelor's and master's programmes at ILN.
- Student associations and student publications associated with ILN
- Scientific staff
What can be supported?
Events for which support is sought must have an academic content, and must as a rule be open to all students on a study programme or in a field of study.
Examples:
- professional lunch
- guest lecture
- quiz
- semester start event
- excursions
- study tour
- graduate ceremony
- author visit
How to apply for funding?
You apply for academic-social funds by filling in the following online form. The application must contain a description of the event, including a budget detailing expected expenses and income.
The applications are processed continuously by the head of studies and head of teaching at ILN.
The application deadline is 3 weeks before the planned event, due to some processing time, as well as the fact that orders for food, for example, must be made no later than one week before the event. If funding is granted for food for a student run event, the study consultant is responsible for submitting the food order in cooperation with the event organising student.
Criteria for awarding support
We want the funding to go to initiatives that are open and accessible to as many students as possible. The aim is to create a sense belonging, either to the programme or the field of study. However, it is possible to apply for funding for events aimed at either bachelor's or master's students.
The event can be of an academic or academic-social nature, but must not replace regular teaching
The goods or services must be covered by UiO's framework agreements and be ordered via UiO's purchasing system after the application has been processed.
