Hvem er du?
Jeg begynte som stipendiat ved ILN i oktober 2022, og er tilknyttet forskergruppen for Samtaleanalyse og interaksjonell lingvistikk. Jeg er utdannet logoped og før ILN har jeg jobbet på Sunnaas sykehus (klinisk og forskningsavdelingen) og ved Statped. I Statped var jeg verneombud for region sørøst og fikk der erfaring med å sette meg inn i styringsdokumenter, slik som tildelingsbrev og budsjett. I perioden som verneombud var Statped inne i en omorganisering i kategori fire, dvs. den mest omfattende omorganiseringen i staten. Dette har gitt meg erfaring med å femme de ansattes stemme i en økonomisk og organisatorisk krevende periode. Jeg har erfaring fra styreverv i frivillige organisasjoner og er blant annet nestleder av Norsk logopedlag og det norske delegatet til International Association of Logopaedics and Phoniatrics. Disse vervene har gitt meg erfaring med å se og jobbe for ulike gruppers behov.
Hva mener du er viktig å fokusere på i den kommende styreperioden?
Dersom jeg blir valgt ønsker jeg å være en tydelig stemme for de midlertidige vitenskapelige ansatte. Jeg ønsker å bidra inn i diskusjoner om hvordan vi kan forvalte de økonomiske og faglige resursene våre på en god måte, og at både grunnforskning og anvendt forskning ivaretas. I 2024 bortfaller SFF-finanseringen for MultiLing. Jeg mener vi må jobbe for at kunnskapen som er opparbeidet der blir forvaltet på en god måte, innenfor de økonomiske rammene instituttet har. Mer generelt er jeg opptatt av god informasjonsflyt til alle ansatte, at prosesser skal være transparente og at ansatte skal ha reel medvirkning på saker som angår deres arbeidshverdag.
Who are you?
I started as a doctoral research fellow at ILN in October 2022. I am part of the research group for Conversation Analysis and Interactional Linguistics. I am a qualified speech and language therapist and before ILN I worked at Sunnaas rehabilitation hospital (in the clinic and at the research department) and at Statped. At Statped, I was the safety representative for the south-east region and gained experience with reading and understanding different documents, such as letter of allocation and budgets. During the period as safety representative, Statped was involved in a reorganisation in category four, this is the most extensive reorganisation in public sector. In this period, I got experience with talking on behalf of the employees in a demanding period, with budget cut and uncertainty with the future. I also have experience from board positions in voluntary organisations and I am, among other things, deputy chair of the Norwegian Speech and Language Therapist Association and the Norwegian delegate to the International Association of Logopaedics and Phoniatrics. From these positions I have learned the importance of acknowledging and working for the interests of other people, even though they might differ from my own personal interests.
What do you think is important to focus on in the coming period?
If I am elected, I will talk on behalf of the temporary academic staff. I want to contribute to discussions about how we can manage our financial and academic resources in the best way, this includes both ground research and applied research. The SFF funding for MultiLing will end in 2024. It is, in my opinion, important that the knowledge that has been accumulated there is managed in a good way, within the institute’s financial framework. It is also important for me that all employees get the information they need in their day-to-day life at work. Processes and decisions should be transparent, and employees should have a real impact on matters that concerns them.
