About the lecture

Dr Kristine Johanson is senior lecturer in English Renaissance Literature and Culture at the University of Amsterdam, and author of Shakespeare’s Golden Ages: Resisting Nostalgia in Elizabethan Drama (Edinburgh University Press, 2021). She is also a film director and playwright.

Dr Johanson's seminar at UiO forms part of the course ENG2327/4367 Shakespeare, and offers an introduction to the interplay of gender and temporality (notions of historical and mythical time, as well as biological and dramatic time) in Shakespeare’s arguably most beautiful play, Antony and Cleopatra.

All are most welcome!
