The research environment brings together researchers with a special interest in the digital media consumption of children and youths.
The research environment works interdisciplinary and engages in national and international networks with the public sector, industry, researchers and other stakeholders who work with related topics.
In addition to enhancing knowledge on these topics, our research is used for policy development and recommendations in connection with safer Internet use

Research networks
The research environment participates in national and international research networks, including:
- Living the Nordic Model, which is funded by UiO:Norden
- EU Kids Online (lse.ac.uk), based at the London School of Economics and Political Science
- Centre for the Digital Child (digitalchild.org.au), The Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence
In addition, we coordinate a national network for research and dissemination which is funded by the Research Council of Norway.
