GLOBAL NATIVES starts the new year with a new project member:
Emilie Owens is a Doctoral Research Fellow with the Department of Media and Communications at the University of Oslo. She has a background in communications and media research, as well as in children’s literature, media, and culture. Her current project is focused on undertaking ethnographic research to better understand where and how the social worlds of teenagers are shaped by digital media at present, using the popular video sharing application TikTok as a case study.
