Nordic Media selected as one of two enhanced master programmes at HF

The Faculty of Humanities have selected The Nordic Media programme option as one of two master programs chosen to spearhead the Faculty’s commitment to quality education on the master’s level.

Nordic Media was chosen because of its close ties with Department of Media and Communications’ strong research environment and high quality of studies. The programme have been awarded 4 million NOK distributed over a period of four years.

With the enhanced master programs the Faculty of Humanities strives to build a culture of quality in their education on the master’s level in the fields of supervision and administrative counseling, to ensure that students meet engaging researchers and lecturers, and an including and blossoming environment for learning.

To achieve this The Department of Media and Communication wants focus on the following:

  • Quality supervision, both academically and professionally A high level of student participation
  • Develop innovative and research relevant forms of teaching
  • Recruit highly motivated students with ambitions to participate in the Departments’ research.
  • Create an inclusive and productive environment for teaching and learning

 

 A proposed budget for the funds includes:

  • Two professor II positions with ties to other universities in the Nordic countries
  • One 50% lecturer position to coordinate the programme
  • Fully financed student trips for the students on the Nordic Media program
  • Targeted recruitment measures
  • Guest lecturers
  • Social activities

 

Application deadline is 15. April for: Nordic citizens and applicants with a permanent or renewable residence permit in Norway. In addition, EU/EEA/Swiss applicants can apply to this extended deadline.
