The Department provides instruction, conducts research and disseminates knowledge about the entire spectrum of musicology, encompassing a wide range of perspectives, subjects and skills.
The Department has 45 employees and contracts some 30 professional musicians to tutor students on their respective instruments. Each year, approx. 100 new students are admitted to the Department’s Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD programmes.
