Creative Computing Hub Oslo (C2HO) presents a series of hands-on workshops led by IFI Postdoctoral Fellow Benedikte Wallace. The workshops are focused on ml5.js, a beginner-friendly Javascript library that runs machine learning directly in the web browser. With a simple and clear syntax, ml5.js is designed to make machine learning approachable for a wide range of users, including scientists, artists, educators, and hobbyists. The library provides access to machine learning algorithms and models in the browser, building on top of TensorFlow.js with no other external dependencies. It includes pre-trained models that allow for recognizing images, detecting human poses, generating text, and more.

Image may contain: Purple, Violet, Font, Electric blue, Magenta.

In this workshop we will use MobileNet, a light-weight image classification model. Using feature extraction, we will retrain the image classifier to work on new recognition tasks and use our webcams to provide input and retrain the classifier.

Image may contain: Purple, Gesture, Art, Finger, Violet.
