Summary:
Sensing Spaces: The Impact of Audiovisual Rhythms on the Human Body
This PhD research project, part of the AMBIENT project at RITMO, investigates how indoor spaces are experienced through audiovisual rhythms and their impact on the human body. Riaz aims to capture these environments using advanced ambisonic microphone techniques and motion capture, study their effects on physiological responses with sensors and eye-tracking, and create interactive elements to enhance the audiovisual and spatiotemporal experience. By integrating insights from psychology, musicology, and robotics, Riaz seeks to understand and manipulate how we sense and interact with our surroundings.
