Academic interests
My research is focused on Scandinavian literature from the 19th century up till today, with a focus on European reception and cultural circulation of Scandinavian modern authors. My main research interests include coming-of-age literature and fiction in Scandinavia and Italy as well as their cultural transfers. My first monograph on this subject, An Immature Hero (Un héros immature), was published in 2023. In 2023 I also co-wrote Scandinavie, un voyage magnétique (Scandinavia, A Magnetic Voyage), a beau-livre on the connection between Scandinavian landscapes, climates, and culture represented through artwork of various mediums. At the moment I am working on ScanDigiLit - a Marie-Curie project that aims to digitally investigate how the Italian-French discourse on Scandinavian authors and culture has been structured and evolved through articles that appeared in Italian and French cultural magazines between 1870 and 1914.
