PhD Project
My PhD project researches the Norwegian 19th century writer Hanna Winsnes and her fictional works. I aim to investigate how Winsnes contributed to the Norwegian nation-building project in the middle of the 19th century. Further, I want to research how she is represented in Norwegian literary history and investigate the category 'poetical realism' Winsnes is associated with. The project is part of the research project Norwegian Romantic Nationalisms (NORN).
